Florida football coach Billy Napier reaffirmed during an interview with SEC Nation on Saturday, Sept. 13, that defensive lineman Brendan Bett will miss some time after spitting on an opposing player last week against USF.

Napier would not go into specifics of the punishment as he stated earlier in the week that Bett would face discipline internally.

“First of all, I would say that I was watching him closely, I wanted to see remorse there,” Napier said on SEC Nation. “I was impressed with the way he handled it. He apologized to the team. He even went to the point of making a public statement.
