Alex Bregman and the Boston Red Sox must rebound from a series-opening loss to the New York Yankees.
Boston began the three-game set with a 4-1 loss at Fenway Park. The Red Sox finished with two hits, none against Yankees starter Luis Gil through six innings.
After the game, via NESN’s coverage , Bregman told reporters that they must quickly move on from Friday’s loss.
“You flush tonight and you focus on the next pitch,” Bregman said. “We’ve been talking about that for the last month or so here down this playoff push. You got to focus on the next pitch; that’s the most important one. Everyone’s mentality is in a good spot.”
Bregman drew one of Boston’s five walks on Friday. The All-Star third baseman took solace in the offense maintaining a disciplined approach, which should eventu
