Cops have been attacked by protesters
Metropolitan Police officers have come under attack from Tommy Robinson supporters as they battle to control crowds at today's demonstrations. Disturbing footage circulated on X - formerly Twitter - shows police forcing back Unite the Kingdom marchers as they attempt to charge towards officers.
The post shared on X states: "Officers are having to intervene in multiple locations to stop Unite the Kingdom protesters trying to access sterile areas, breach police cordons or get to opposing groups. A number of officers have been assaulted ."
