Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer, Tyler Robinson, is being held in a special housing unit while waiting to be charged as authorities continue to gather evidence.

That is according to TMZ, which cites Utah County Sheriff’s spokesperson Sergeant Raymont Ormond.

Ormond told the outlet that Robinson is being evaluated by mental health professionals to determine whether he could be suicidal and is under “special watch.”

The 22-year-old suspect, who turned himself in ahead of the weekend after Kirk’s fatal shooting on Wednesday, is being watched 24/7, per TMZ.

“We’re told Robinson’s been placed in Special Housing because the jail will have more manpower to watch him 24 hours a day … every 15 minutes or so,” the publication notes.
