A Charlton woman was found guilty on Friday of raping her foster child in 2015 when the child was 12 years old and living with her in Charlton, according to the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

A Worcester County Superior Court jury convicted 52-year-old Heather Wright-Craft of one count of rape of a child aggravated by age different and one count of rape of a child aggravated by being a mandated reporter, the district attorney’s office said in a press release. The jury found her not guilty of one count of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14.

Wright-Craft was arrested and charged in Dudley District Court in August 2017 and indicted in Worcester County Superior Court in March 2018, the district attorney’s office said. She was released on bail prior to being convic
