PISCATAWAY − Rutgers football has lost another left tackle.

Dantae Chin is out for the season after suffering an injury in the Scarlet Knights ' game against Miami (Ohio) on Sept. 6.

Chin started the first two games at left tackle as Hollin Pierce's replacement.

The 6-foot-4, 320-pound Chin, in his fourth year with the program, won the starting job after a solid training camp.

Chin battled against Tyler Needham, who likely will step in as the starter, and Taj White for the job. It's possible White, who's been starting at right tackle, could rotate to the other side as needed.

Coach Greg Schiano has also mentioned LIU transfer Moshood Giwa and New Haven transfer Justin Cesaire as possible options to help fill the void if Chin was out for the long term.
