MORGANFIELD, Ken. (WFIE) - Kentucky State Police says human remains and a vehicle were found in the Ohio River.

Officials say they were found around 10:00 a.m. Friday near a boat ramp off Dike Lane in Morganfield.

They say a scuba diver found the vehicle and called authorities.

Investigators say they believe it may be connected to a man who was reported missing in 2006.

Trey Lombardo with Narked Divers shared video from the dive with 14 News.

While it’s not yet confirmed who the remains are, the van pulled from the water is similar to the description given for James Michael Mills’ van.

His missing person profile shows in 2006, he was 38-years-old and driving a white van with a door that had been painted white with blue showing through.
