Ahead of a pivotal matchup with Nashville SC on Saturday, FC Cincinnati says that it will be forced to go without an integral component of the team's defense.

Roman Celentano, the team's star goalkeeper who has served as a cornerstone of the team since 2022, is set to miss his first match of the 2025 regular season as Cincinnati takes on Nashville. Advertisement

Celentano is said to have suffered a leg injury, though no further specifics were immediately provided by FC Cincinnati.

Celentano was recently named in August as the player with the most playing time in FC Cincinnati franchise history, a record that he surpassed over former star midfielder Lucho Acosta.
