MCCAYSVILLE, Ga. (WTVD) -- A North Carolina Blue Alert issued on Saturday for a man wanted for aggravated assault of an officer in Georgia , has been canceled.

According to the authorities, 26-year-old Timothy Craig Ramsey, who allegedly shot an officer in McCaysville, Georgia, was last seen wearing a green shirt and pants, and a dark color motorcycle helmet.

Ramsey is described as 5'11, 185 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen on foot and could possibly be close to the area of Cherokee County.

Officials said McCaysville Police Captain Brantley Worley is in critical condition following the shooting.
