Enrollment at Sampson Community College has reached a record high, Dean of Student Services Dr. Marvin Rondon reported to the college’s Board of Trustees Tuesday night.

“Enrollment as of Aug. 28 for regular and probational students for fall is 1,854,” he stated. “That is an all-time record. We keep growing, growing and growing.”

For each of the past few semesters, the college has seen more students enrolled than the previous semester, Dr. Rondon added.

“We are looking now to prepare for spring and summer,” he informed. “Hopefully by January, I will show you how we are going to grow again.”

This fall, SCC has 710 FTEs (full-time equivalents), up from 680 in Fall 2024. “That is a 5-percent increase,” he said.
