CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) -- A motorcyclist died in a three-vehicle crash late Friday night, according to Cheektowaga Police.

The crash occurred on William Street just east of the I-90 around 9 p.m. Friday night. Police said when officers arrived on scene they quickly had to put out a fire that had engulfed the motorcycle and spread to one of the other vehicles involved.

Cheektowaga Police said the 20-year-old male, who was operating the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of the of the other two vehicles were taken to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. According to police, the drivers are cooperating with the investigation.

The investigation remains ongoing.
