FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (FOX 56) — An Auxier man who had been charged with threatening to kill a deputy with the Floyd County Sheriff's Office (FCSO), as well as a US Postal Service worker in Prestonsburg, was given new charges on Wednesday after an alleged outburst during a courtroom video conference.
On Aug. 9, the sheriff's office posted on social media that Jonathan Howell, 43, allegedly threatened the post office employee before taking to Facebook to make similar threats against deputies.
The US Postal Inspector reportedly asked for felony warrants to be issued, and he was charged with second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, public intoxication, and menacing.
