PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - A man was sentenced on Friday to 32 years in prison after the remains of his children were found in Pueblo.

Jesus Dominguez and Corena Rose Minjarez were identified as persons of interest when a young girl’s remains were found in a metal container at a storage unit in Pueblo in late Jan. 2024. She was later identified as 3-year-old Yesenia Dominguez.

During the investigation, detectives said they found a suitcase in the trunk of Minjarez’s vehicle that they said contained the remains of a young boy. He was later identified as 5-year-old Jesus Dominguez Jr.

Arrest warrants were obtained for both Dominguez and Minjarez, and both were later taken into custody .

Dominguez pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in July in exchange for testifying against Minjarez,
