OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Omaha Fire Department crews hit a snag while fighting a fire in a car lot Saturday afternoon.
OFD Fire Captain Eric Jeanneret told First Alert 6 that a crew was dispatched to a car lot near 60th and Q streets Saturday afternoon.
Once on the scene, however, the crew found that the hydrants on the south side of the property were dry.
Jeanneret said that four engines were eventually called to supply around 2,700 feet of hose to get water from the nearest hydrant.
Once the water was flowing, Jeanneret said the fire was easy to fight.
Around 25 vehicles were burned as a result of the fire. No injuries are reported as a result of the fire.
Currently, the cause of the fire is unknown. An investigation is underway.
