Police are hunting a gunman who overnight sprayed a western Sydney home with bullets while two women and a teenager were inside.

Officers were called about 1.40am today to the property on Harris Street in Merrylands, when they received reports of gunshots.

At least three bullet holes hit the side of the home.

Three people – two women aged 49 and 22 – and a 15-year-old boy were in the house at the time of the shooting.

There were no reports of injuries.

A crime scene has been set up and an investigation launched.
