BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A 52-year-old motorcyclist died after a crash in Battle Creek on Friday afternoon, police say.

It happened at around 3:17 p.m., on East Columbia Avenue, near the M-66 overpass, according to the Battle Creek Police Department.

Officials say that the motorcyclist, a man, was headed eastbound on Columbia when he hit the back of a car in front of him. Soon after, a second crash happened.

The man died at the scene, police said.
