ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —

With everything going on at the New Mexico State Fair all at once, it can't hurt to just stop for a minute and pet a friendly dog.

Between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. this Sunday — the last day of the fair — and you're walking on Main Street, you might see some friendly people with friendly dogs. They're the Ambassadogs with their Southwest Canine Corps volunteers, and they're there to make you feel less frazzled.

Lanell Harrison, one of the Ambassadogs' volunteers, explained what they're up to.

"I hope that they take away a feeling of de-stressing," Harrison said. "Because this many people in this environment and setting can be quite stressful. So we hope that it helps take a moment and just breathe, and then continue with their day."
