The Cleveland Browns (0-1) and the Baltimore Ravens (0-1) meet for a Week 2 matchup Sunday at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET (CBS). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's NFL odds around the Browns vs. Ravens odds and make our expert NFL picks and predictions for the best bets.
The Browns lost 17-16 to the Cincinnati Bengals at home in Week 1. It was an excruciating loss for the Browns, too, who limited the high-octane Bengals to just 141 total yards, including 46 rushing yards and 2.0 yards per attempt. However, Cleveland was minus-2 in turnover margin, as QB Joe Flacco tossed 2 interceptions, and the kicking game was a mess. Rookie PK Andre Szmyt missed an extra point and a field goal, both in the second half. He had a chance at a go-ahead field goal with 2:25 left in regulation, but he pushed it right.
The Ravens also lost by a single point in Week 1, falling 41-40 at Buffalo on Sunday Night Football in an epic battle. Baltimore blew a 40-25 lead in the fourth quarter, as the Bills scored 16 points in the final 3:56. The Ravens posted 432 total yards, while allowing 497 yards, including 389 through the air. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson threw for 209 yards and 2 TDs, while rushing for 70 yards and a score. RB Derrick Henry rolled up 169 rushing yards and 2 TDs, but he had a crucial fumble late which turned the tide.
The Browns stunned the Ravens 29-24 in Cleveland on Oct. 27 last season, cashing as a 7-point underdog as the Over (45) cashed. Baltimore returned the favor in January in a late-season matchup, blasting the Browns 35-10 to cover as a rare 20-point favorite in the NFL, again with the Over (42) cashing. The Browns have won 4 of the past 7 meetings, however, while going 4-2 against the spread (ATS) in the previous 6 meetings. The Over has hit in 3 in a row in the series.

Browns at Ravens picks and predictions
Prediction
Ravens 29, Browns 18
Moneyline
The Ravens (-900) will cost you 9 times your potential return, which is obviously not a recommended betting strategy. You cannot risk that much such a minimal return.
Even if you were to throw Baltimore into a multi-leg parlay, including the Ravens sucks all of the value out of your ticket.
AVOID, and look to the spread instead.
Against the spread
The BROWNS +11.5 (-110) had plenty of self-inflicted wounds last week in a narrow loss to the Bengals. Whether it was interceptions or missed opportunities in the kicking game, Cleveland made too many mistakes, and still lost by just a single point against a good team. The defense was very stingy, and that unit will need to be on point against the Ravens to have a chance.
Baltimore has suffered these type of early-season home losses before as a heavy favorite. It lost 26-23 to the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2 last season as an 8.5-point favorite in the home opener. It lost to Indianapolis, 22-19 in OT, in a Week 3 game at home when favorite by 7.5 points. In Week 2, the Miami Dolphins ruined the home opener in a 42-38 win when Baltimore was favored. There is a history of non-covers in early home games. While Cleveland isn't expected to win outright, catching double digits is an awful lot here.
Over/Under
OVER 45 (-110) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
The Over was 13-4 in 17 regular-season games for the Ravens last season, including both meetings with the Browns. The Over has cashed in each of the past 3 meetings, too.
While the Browns easily cashed an Under last week, the Ravens combined with the Bills for 81 points. Baltimore's defense could allow plenty to old friend Flacco in his Baltimore return.
