EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations are confirming a series of bomb threats allegedly made to Oregon state lawmakers homes on September 11th.
Eugene Police confirm one of the lawmakers was state senator James Manning. Police responded to Manning's home with the Metro Explosives Disposal Unit and confirmed no bombs were present.
According to the FBI, there were threats in other parts of the country that appear the same or similar.
"We work with our partners to assess the validity of threats and take appropriate measures. At this time the threats appear to not be credible. We aren't able to comment beyond that at this time," the Portland FBI office said in a statement.
