ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - The Wentzville General Motors plant will experience temporary layoffs, according to a joint letter from the plant’s executive director and union chairman.

The letter, signed by GM Plant Executive Director Eric Shelhorn and UAW Local 2250 Chairman Jon Daugherty, says the plant will experience temporary layoffs between Sept. 29 and Oct. 19. The letter says the cause of the layoffs is parts availability.

“We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work through this issue,” the letter read. “Thank you in advance for your continued support.”
