ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – A one-year-old dog named Wishbone is receiving praise in the form of head scratches and belly rubs after saving another pet in need. "Some heroes wear capes and other heroes like Wishbone wear collars," shared Madison Beets, Associate Director of Marketing for Animal Humane New Mexico. "Wishbone is loving, he's social, he's affectionate. We received him as a transfer from our friends down in Santa Clara."

Beets describes Wishbone as an energetic, wiggly, and sweet mixed-breed dog. Wishbone currently resides at the main campus of Animal Humane New Mexico.
