An investigation is underway after a woman was found dead in Lancaster.

On Sept. 9, Los Angeles County deputies responded to the 45000 block of Spearman Avenue around 9:40 a.m.

Authorities found a female victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects were located nearby and the circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear.

No further details, including the woman’s name or the nature of her injuries, were released.
