SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - Locals in Effingham County organized a prayer vigil in Patriot Park Saturday night in honor of Charlie Kirk’s life.

People gathered in a prayer circle holding hands and singing in his honor.

Chloe, an attendee tonight said she wasn’t familiar with Kirk but watched his wife, Erika Kirk’s speech and was moved by her message.

“What really spoke to me was when his wife said, ‘make heaven crowded’. That really opened me up and made me come tonight with my parents, and that’s why I wore this shirt that I wore tonight,” said Chloe.

WTOC spoke with tonight’s organizer, Holly Kesler, who posted the flyer for the event only hours before and was touched by all the people who turned out.
