BUFFALO, N.Y. — For the fifth year in a row, a group of Western New York bikers combined their love of riding with community service for an all-day charity event.
The Western New York Riding Lions hosted about 200 bikers Sunday at Mercy Flight’s base at the Buffalo Airport before setting out on a ride that ended at the Wendelville Volunteer Fire Company in North Tonawanda.
“We like to say, we ride to serve,” Club President Joe Chapman, said. “We donate thousands of dollars every year to local charities and events.”
Since the event began in 2021, the Riding Lions have raised more than $63,000 for Mercy Flight.
