Keyron Crawford barely had time to process what was happening.
On a third-and-3 in the first quarter, he was in coverage when Bishop Davenport’s pass bounced off the hands of South Alabama wide receiver Anthony Eager.
Crawford, in the right place at the right time, got under the ball and wrapped both of his hands around it, coming down with his first career interception.
"It was incredible," Crawford said after the game. “I wish I would have took it home.”
Despite potentially having a running lane in front of him, Crawford fell to the ground immediately after catching the ball. In hindsight, the 6-foot-4, 255-pound outside linebacker wishes he stayed on his feet, but securing the catch was more important to him.
