In what was Duke football's second loss of 2025, it was another Saturday plagued by costly Duke mistakes.

After the Blue Devils (1-2) committed five turnovers last week against Illinois, they were unnerved again against the Green Wave , struggling in all three phases in their 34-27 loss to Tulane at Yulman Stadium.

"But the story for us is, as disappointed as we are in the results, arguably more disappointed in our performance," head coach Manny Diaz said following the loss. "Played very poorly in all three phases ... just made mistakes that you just can't do on the road against a really good football team."
