A wage shortfall could leave female state pensioners worse off, it is feared. Data shows women state pensioners could lose £92,300 throughout their professional lives, according to shocking new research from Instant Offices this week.
Women could earn £2,756 less than their male counterparts each year. But in the fifties, the shortfall widens further to £3,484, before narrowing ever so slightly to £2,600 yearly when women and men enter their fifties.
Data shows by their 30s, women have already forfeited as much as £25,792. Staggeringly, it then more than doubles to £53,352 by age 49, before soaring to £88,192 as they approach retirement.
