The internet may be a pit of despair, foul-language and rude comments, but a dad from Plymouth has proved that, with kindness and good intentions, it can be used for the power of good.
Dan Wells runs a Facebook group dedicated to helping people reach out for mental health support and says it is "heartbreaking" to see so many people struggling at the moment.
In 2019, Dan created the Let’s Talk (mental health peer support) group after a man died in a fall from the Tamar Bridge . Within weeks, the group was credited for saving the lives of two people , helped by simply sharing their problems with strangers on the internet.
