There are railway delays through Plymouth due to a train breakdown which is blocking the main line into the city. Great Western Railway (GWR) has said the breakdown is located near Ivybridge and journeys from Exeter to Plymouth may be cancelled or delayed.

Disruption is expected into this afternoon (Sunday, September 14), the train company said. GWR said: "A train has broken down on the railway line near Plymouth, and is now blocking the main line.

"A rescue train is on its way to assist in moving the train and passengers, with the operation expected to take around thirty minutes to complete. We are sorry for the disruption this morning."
