LOVINGSTON -- Six candidates running for three seats on the Nelson County Board of Supervisors in the Nov. 4 election addressed affordable housing, education funding, short-term rentals, job creation and other topics during a public forum Monday in Lovingston.
Afton residents Diane Harvey, Cameron Lanehan and Roy White are running for the North District seat that will be vacated at by Tommy Harvey, who has represented the district for just more than 40 years, at the end of the year. In the Central District, current board chair Ernie Reed is seeking his third term and Stephen Bayne is running against him.
In the East District, incumbent Jesse Rutherford is running unopposed. He said he looks forward to keep working to revitalize the villages of Lovingston and Schuyler, and figuring out ho
