∎ Head-turning score at Avon. I thought Class 6A No. 1 Brownsburg might have a battle on its hands against No. 9 Avon. The Bulldogs certainly did . Avon got a 282-yard, three-touchdown rushing effort from Andre Warfield in a 55-47 Brownsburg win. It was a great test for Brownsburg — against a team it will likely see down the road in the sectional — after three weeks of lopsided scores. Avon tried to take away standout receiver Branden Sharpe, but running back A.J. Jobe went for 203 rushing yards and three TDs and added an 81-yard TD reception.
