GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Holland man has reportedly died after drowning in a Mason County lake.

News 8 affiliate 9&10 News reports the Mason County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched around 1 p.m. Saturday to Tallman Lake in Sheridan Township on a report of an overturned kayak.

At about 2:45 p.m., a Michigan Department of Natural Resources officer found the body of the presumed kayaker, Estil Perrigan Jr., from Holland.

9&10 News reports Perrigan’s body was taken to Western Michigan University’s Medical School for examination. The death investigation is ongoing.
