While there is no such thing as a truly "quiet" week in college football , the Big Ten conference's came pretty close to one in Week 3.

The conference's top-ranked team, top-ranked Ohio State , overcame a shaky start to in-state program Ohio to beat the Bobcats 37-9 in Ohio Stadium.

Elsewhere, No. 2 Penn State similarly staved off an upset as Drew Allar, Kayton Allen and the Nittany Lions beat Villanova 52-6 Happy Valley. Dante Moore led No. 4 Oregon to a win in its Big Ten opener against Northwestern, 34-14, along the shores of Lake Michigan.

No. 22 Michigan bounced back against Central Michigan without head coach Sherrone Moore, who was serving the first of back-to-back game suspensions. Bryce Underwood was impressive in the showing, completing 16 of 25 passes for 235 yards
