NEW YORK — Mets slugger Juan Soto knew it as soon as he hit it.

In the seventh inning of Saturday’s 3-2 loss against the Texas Rangers , Soto etched his name in the record books. After hitting a 414-foot home run, his 40th of the season, he became the 14th player ever to have 30+ stolen bases and 40+ home runs in a single season.
