LOS ANGELES – Two women were critically injured Sunday morning during a multi-vehicle crash involving pedestrians and a vehicle on fire in downtown Los Angeles that left a total of seven people injured, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 2:57 a.m. to 1524 S. Grand Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“One engine crew quickly extinguished the car fire, while other firefighters focused on patient treatment and transport,” said Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Two women, a 24-year-old and a 21-year-old, were critically injured; a 49-year-old man was seriously injured and three women — a 59-year-old, a 29-year-old and a 24-year-old — were in fair condition.
