Boat believed to have sunk last week washes ashore in Nags Head

The Town of Nags Head reported on Sept. 11 that a 26-foot power catamaran fishing boat, previously believed to have sunk after two people were rescued from it last week, washed ashore in Nags Head this morning.

At approximately 7:18 a.m., Nags Head Police and Fire Rescue units responded to reports of a watercraft in distress near the 4000 block of South Virginia Dare Trail. Upon arrival, responders found the boat lying capsized in the surf.
