Shedeur Sanders dropped in the NFL Draft , but part of it was his own decision.

The Baltimore Ravens reportedly wanted to select the former Colorado quarterback with the No. 141 pick, but Sanders apparently turned them down.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday that Sanders "let it be know to Baltimore" that he didn't want to back up Lamar Jackson -- because he wouldn't have the opportunity to play any time soon.

The Browns quickly traded up to take Sanders with the No. 144 pick. But instead of backing up a two-time MVP in Baltimore, Sanders is now the third-stringer in Cleveland behind 40-year-old Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel.
