MADISONVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrested a “street-level drug dealer” after a drug bust on Thursday.

According to Sheriff Tommy Jones, a joint investigation between the sheriff’s office and the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force resulted in a search warrant being executed at a home on Cedar Lane in Madisonville.

During the search, Jones said investigators found and seized several illegal narcotics, including fentanyl and methamphetamine.

One person identified as a street-level drug dealer was taken into custody, Jones said. Their identity was not released.
