The Buffalo Bills are winning a shutout but the New York Jets drew first blood on Josh Allen.
The reigning MVP ran off the field with his nose gushing with blood late in the first quarter on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
On second-and-7 late in the first quarter, Allen kept a read option and dove forward for no gain. He got to his feet, signaled with his hand to the sideline that he was coming out of the game and ran to the sideline. Allen took his helmet off and sat on the bench as he was dripping with blood. Trainers immediately surrounded him on the bench.
CBS sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson said Allen was "bleeding profusely" with a team of doctors surrounding him.
