JOINT BASE ANDREWS, Md. — To quote Eccelesiastes, "what has been, will be again."

That was the mantra for Sunday afternoon visitors hoping to catch the air show at Joint Base Andrews, where, for the second day in a row, the venue turned away incoming visitors before the event was scheduled to close.

The closures at the air show for both weekend days were due to a lack of parking spaces at Northwest Stadium, a spokesperson for Joint Base Andrews confirmed to WUSA9 Sunday at 12:45 p.m..

The show must go on though. Anyone already at the event can still enjoy the flybys, flag jumps and other patriotic showcases. The Prince George's County air show was scheduled to continue until 4 p.m.
