A program that was inches from a possible College Football Playoff berth in 2021 then later beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl, spent most of the 2022 season ranked in the top 12 and went back to the Big 12 title game in 2023 has now been outscored by 118 points the last two times it stepped on a field with an FBS opponent.
