AMES, Iowa —
Iowa State escaped an upset in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Saturday with a 24-16 win over Arkansas State. The Cyclones now enter their bye week with a perfect 4-0 record.
This is the second consecutive season the Cyclones have been 4-0 , and the first time in school history they've opened with four wins in back-to-back years.
Saturday's efforts led to Iowa State's continued climb in the College Football AP Top 25 to No. 12 for Week 4. Last week, the Cyclones were ranked No. 14.
The Cyclones (1-0, 1-0 Big 12) are on a bye week this Saturday. On Sept. 27, they'll host Arizona (3-0, 0-0 Big 12) at Jack Trice Stadium. This content is imported from Twitter.
