Cincinnati Bengals fans are holding their breath after star quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a painful looking ankle injury during Sunday’s game (September 14) against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The 35-year-old QB went down in the second quarter while trying to avoid a sack. Trainers immediately rushed by his side as he grabbed at his left ankle. He eventually got up, limping to the locker room, but unable to put his full weight on his leg.

Backup Jake Browning took over for the remainder of the half.
