A TAMWORTH court has heard a man accused of stabbing a woman before torching her house with others allegedly told someone on the phone "he was in her face".
Shane Kirk Hearne sighed, and dropped his head, after his bid for release in Tamworth Local Court was knocked back, despite already spending "371 days in custody".
Hearne watched on, on video link from prison where he remains as defence solicitor, Rebecca McGrath said, "unfortunately we weren't able to resolve the matter".
He has not been required to enter pleas, and the court heard "an offer" had been made by the defence to the Crown, which needed to be considered.
