DETROIT -- The Detroit Lions came out swinging on the first drive of the game, and the offense has continued showing some serious signs of life.
Detroit heads into halftime leading the Chicago Bears, 28-14, with some of last week’s issues looking corrected. They already have more gains of 20-plus yards than last week, with Amon-Ra St. Brown opening the game with a 34-yard catch on the first play from scrimmage.
St. Brown added a 32-yard catch later in the first quarter while carrying multiple defenders along for the ride. His catch-and-run set up David Montgomery’s 1-yard touchdown run to go up 14-7.
