LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

The second annual Jazz Festival was a swinging hit at Algonquin Park.

Councilwoman Tammy Hawkins invited the community to enjoy live performances, a gospel showcase, food trucks, line dancing, and local vendors.

The idea is to help foster a positive environment for the community.

Festival producer Tommy Jones said, "In the times that we live, it is vitally important we come together without any arguing, bickering. We're able to demonstrate and show love. And that's what it's all about. It's about love."

It was a free event, and it ran throughout the afternoon on Saturday.
