BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- The New Orleans Saints offense struggled to find consistency in a 26-21 loss to the San Francisco 49ers Sunday at the Caesars Superdome.
The 49ers entered the game without their starting quarterback, Brock Purdy, and star tight end George Kittle. They later lost fullback Kyle Juszczyk to a concussion during the game.
The Saints' offense struggled early. Quarterback Spencer Rattler and receiver Chris Olave failed to connect on the team’s opening possession in the end zone. The drive resulted in a missed Blake Grupe 40-yard field goal, his second missed field goal of the season.
San Francisco found the endzone first with Mac Jones finding Luke Farrell in the open field for an 11-yard touchdown. The 49ers led 6-0 after a missed extra point. They would
