Police arrested a man, 19, accused of trespassing and destroying a memorial for Charlie Kirk outside the Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, according to the Phoenix Police Department.
At about 9:50 a.m. Sept. 14, police were directed to the area of 48th Street and Beverly Road after witnesses saw a man damaging a memorial for Kirk, who was assassinated four days earlier in Utah, according to Sgt. Phil Krynsky, spokesperson for Phoenix police.
"Officers were in the area to assist with traffic control due to a large community presence in the area following recent events," Krynsky said.
Police located the man, Ryder Corral, and took him into custody, according to Krynsky.
Corral faced criminal damage and disorderly conduct charges, Krynsky said.
There were no serious injuries
