CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Bengals rallied to stun the Jaguars, 31-27, on Sunday at Paycor Stadium behind backup quarterback Jake Browning. But the more important event for the Bengals not just now but in the long term could be the health of Joe Burrow.
Cincinnati’s franchise quarterback suffered a left toe injury in the second quarter after a sack by Jaguars defensive tackle Arik Armstead. Browning came into the game to replace him, and he finished off the game, leading the Bengals on a second-half comeback.
The Bengals are now 2-0 for the first time in Zac Taylor’s coaching tenure.
But it’s hard to understate just how significant of a loss it could be for the Bengals if Burrow is unavailable for any length of time, especially considering how difficult the next four weeks of their schedu
