GEORGETOWN, Texas — Georgetown police have launched a homicide investigation after three people were shot dead on Saturday night, including an 8-year-old girl.

According to the city of Georgetown, police received a call around 7:26 p.m. reporting people had been found dead inside an apartment in the 300 block of Luther Drive.

Police arrived on the scene at 7:33 p.m. and located three people who had been shot multiple times. They have been identified as 34-year-old Alonzo Hawkins, 39-year-old Doneisha Brooks and 8-year-old Olivia Brooks.

Investigators believe the suspect was known to the victims. Police are still working to locate a person of interest who has been identified.
